@Deklipz - I'm nearly 50, and agree that most of what passes for rap these days is garbage. Meg is an exception. She's actually a really talented MC, in addition to being hot as sh*t.

As for "What is WAP?" it is a song performed by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. #1 on the Billboard Global 200 charts for three weeks, #1 single in the US, the UK, Ireland, Canada, Greece, Netherlands, Lithuania, and New Zealand. Top 20 single in Brazil, Finland, Portugal, Malaysia, Singapore, and 20 other nations not already mentioned. A global cultural touchstone from three years ago. Still regularly referenced in pop culture. Also, the video is WILD.

Generic yet catchy, but nothing special. As for the content/lyricism/structure/etc… again I find it generic and basic.

Popular doesn’t equal quality. The Beatles were a phenomenon. This song was just the ‘summer pop song’ for the year. Like… every summer theres one. I can name a half dozen female MC’s FAAAAAAAAR better than her on any day. It’s just generic pop-rap

I guess I just assume that people that are following movies this closely are at least plugged into popular culture at a surface level, but I stand corrected. And I agree that "WAP" isn't Meg's (or Cardi's, for that matter) best work. It's just the most famous, most ubiquitous song that she's appeared on. As for hotness . . . eye of the beholder and all that.

@clintthahamster - I grew up on Ice T, Eric B and Rakim, PE, DJ Quik, NWA, KRS1, among a plethora of others both well known and not so well known. Once sh*t started becoming more mainstream I just stayed with the underground sh*t. Check out Insane Poetry, X-Raided, Kung-Fu Vampire, Murs, Tech 9 and anyone on Strange music. I can throw music at you for days. If you listened to any of the darker side of hip-hop like flatlinerz or Grave Diggaz I can throw some of that at you. 🤘🏻😬🤘🏻 there’s a lot out there that’ll kick for you if you let it.
